A glimpse into my sketchbook will show you that I love to use words in my art. Hand-lettering is a talent that I have always possessed, nurtured and honed even as a child. I used to try to make my writing look just like the typewriter or fonts I would see on packaging, until I develped my own style of drawing text that finds it's way into much of my art. The rule of my sketchbook is that I only use pen, no eraser. This forces me to make art in a more fresh, spontaeous way that is very freeing. I love to sketch on handmade paper to get my ideas down. The beautiful thing is that this is where my ideas start...many of which find their way onto t-shirts, cards, prints, wall décor, gifts, products and more.
